Luthando Shosha, TV Presenter & Radio Personality

Your hopes this year for women?

I’d like for us to understand deeply how powerful we are. To know who we are and to stand tall in it. The matriarch has always been and always will be the backbone of society. I would for us to see and own our magic. I truly hope the world starts seeing us as we truly are and gives us the room to beam in it.

And for yourself?

To stay grateful. To grow stronger in my spiritual journey and to enjoy the time I’ve been given on this earth.

What were some of the highlights?

It was the first harvest of a newly planted Chardonnay vineyard. The quality of the fruit harvested and the resultant wine analysis exceeded our expectations. These grapes are simply world-class for making Cap Classique.

Any interesting plans on the horizon?

The start of harvest was 10 days later than normal, which is the result of the cool growing season. The first grapes were picked at the end of the second week in January and harvest lasted a full three weeks.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

My mum always reminds me to stand tall in who I am.

Krone is all about Vintage-Only Cap Classique – what does the term mean to you know in 2021 since our last conversation, something only being for a moment in time?

It’s a reminder to never forget to be present, a reminder to adore your history and story as well as to stand tall on the shoulders of your ancestors.
